After the Conventions: A Political Game of Chance

The ghost of George W. Bush haunts this election more than 2008. Romney's argument for President is not entirely he wants to see the country great again. The missing element is he believes George W. Bush wrecked the country. We gave the Black man with the funny name a try. He didn't fix it. Now America try me, Mittens, on for size. It's like when you have a hard time opening a jar that's been sitting in the refrigerator. You can't get into it no matter how hard you twist; not even if you use a towel and put your back into it. You pass it to someone else to try. No luck. Maybe another person jumps in thinking it's a matter of mind over might or vice versa. Eventually the jar gets back to the owner without budging a bit. On an off chance the original person takes another crack at the stubborn glass and the twist top burps and breathes open. It's not because there was some special trick to getting the jar open. It may not even be because others had a hand in ripening the top for opening. The jar simply opened when it was ready to open. This cold jar of whatever was, is, and will be as onerous as our economy.
